TRAINING and NETWORKING

AIM-NEXT will train new industry and academic research leaders able to tackle new challenges for Europe, particularly its need to enhance industrial competitiveness and to decrease resource dependence and ecological impact. Training and networking offered in AIM-NEXT will improve the career perspectives of the participating Doctoral Candidates (DCs) on the basis of excellent scientific research, interdisciplinary nature of the project, large industrial implication and exposure to a European-wide project.

Accordingly the skills developed by the Doctoral Candidates are adapted to the current and future industrial needs and the ongoing transformation towards more sustainable production processes.

The need to reduce the use of critical raw materials is identified in AIM-NEXT as an area of strategic economic and environmental importance for the European Union.
